Yes, the machine is designed to not overheat whilst putting around. The only way it would overheat is to be under a load, with no cooling air. Being stuck in traffic, idling, on a hot day ain't no thang.

Some railroads did the rubber wheel against steel wheel generator on cabooses for easy electric source. There's just a load of common sense stuff we missed in the 1800s and early 1900s, but we think they're new sometimes till we dig. Wink
