K&N Questions

From another post it looks like this filter will fit right on the intake:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00062YO9K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A...
Question: Will this dramatically change the airflow so that a re-jet will likely be necessary? Would a smaller K&N, or one that is mounted further from the intake have less impact on the air/fuel mix?
There is a TON of sizes and options on these filters and I assume you could make most of them work, but what are the things to consider?

The stock filter has never been found to be restrictive in any way. Unless you did drastic other mods to the air intake and exhaust system, you have little or nothing to gain w/ a different filter, and you sure don't need any rejet. If its for show, go for it !
All this from my "limited" experience,....and IMO only.

This is the one I added to my bike this year. Don't really know if it's more restrictive or less, but it did give it a more throaty intake sound when you twist the throttle.

I used the RC-1250 and it fit on the intake with no fuss. I don't know how it would fit with the stock airbox, however....

Which one fits right on the carb, the RC-1250 or RC-2330? Thanks!

I was wondering if they are the same size & one has to be oiled and the other doesn't?

They list the same dimensions for those two, btw.

The 1250 appears to be just slightly longer and the flange is 1/8" bigger. Wondering if they can both go directly onto the carb as-is since the variance in size is so minimal.

the rc-2330 fits very snug on the carb throat not sure about the other and fits above the battery box

Got the one on Ebay today and put it on tonight. The fit over the stock battery box was tight but it went with a little work. Seems to idle fine, sounds good. It rained a little so only rode it around the hood.
