Clutch not fully disengage (Read 104 times)

tixin YaBB Newbies Offline SuzukiSavage.com Rocks! Posts: 26	Clutch not fully disengage 06/22/11 at 13:06:19 I squeezed the lever all the way, but the clutch won't fully disengage. The lever by the transmission is stiff and moves up and down as I operate the clutch. Tried to adjust the cable to no avail. Maybe I didn't do it right. Please advise. Thanks.

If I try to start in first gear with clutch compress, the bike will want to roll forward. If I try to push it in first gear, there is quite a resistance.

It doesn't "slip" very well unless the engine is running and oil is circulating. Like JOG said.. get it running 1st, then see how the clutch works.

normal for the bike

- try to roll it with clutch in - very hard if it's been sitting
- start it in 1st with clutch in, "jumps" forward a little

my guess is your clutch's okay

2007 s40 -stock -white spacer out -repaired to rideable condition!
