Or their little 1/2 gallon tour tube - 4" x 11", pour directly into the main tank.  But I guess that would only get ya another 25 miles or so, unless you get more than one.   http://www.tourtank.com/TourTubes.html

We used to use exhaust pressure to pressurize the fuel tank on model aircraft. Food for thought there.

Which tank would require minimal amount of mod to fit the savage/s40?

When I was a TW200 guy, alot of guys on the forum used MSR fuel bottles mounted in tubes on the bikes. I'm not sure if there's a "handy" spot on the S40 to keep one, but they seemed to work good for dual sporters.

Well, yes we did... on fast combats & rat racers.

What if... you moved the battery and removed the air box, made up a tank that fit under the seat, and forced the gas up to the carb with exhaust pressure? It would not ruin the looks of the bike that way. You could get 3 or 4 or more gallons more that way.
