I just got a magellan gps for fathersday. I was wondering if i mounted it to my 09 s40 will the vibration damage the gps unit.

I'd say no. I have a nuvi 7??. It's been mounted on my busa, 500, and a bunch of different cars.

It's a refurb unit. Got me from texas to cali and back on the busa in 100 deg sun and might of hit the ground a few times. Still going strong.

Go for it. Post up pics of your set up to share with the rest of the class

I have an older Garmin on my s40, and it has no problems......the last time I turned it on anyhow.
