The flyscreen helps some at higher speed. I put it on because it's in the cafe racer style. Many of the cafe racers I remember from the late Sixties had such flyscreens.
The handlebar is not strictly 'cafe racer'. To be so it should be clip-ons or clubmans. However, I set the bike up for a 5'3" rider (my daughter). The low-rise handlebar works for her, whereas the clip-ons would have been too much of a reach.
The bike does fit me (5'7"), but I don't believe it would work for someone much taller. A taller rider would likely want the clip-ons.
The flyscreen does help the handlebar 'flow' into the rest of the bike by hiding it somewhat.
The front fender is a requirement in Connecticut, as are the front turn signals (which serve as good running lights, too) and horn. I may remove the reflective black decals on the front fork and paint that flat black.
Also the flyscreen alignment is not perfect yet and the muffler may be better angled upwards more. I am also thinking of painting the seat hump flat black to match the front fender (which needs a better application of paint).
