I am just too precautionary probably Routy, you are absolutely correct, one will do the job.
Believe it or not, I have had the ONE disconnected wire move back over into position and touch the post. No harm done really, just some arcing. My mechanic buddy saw it, and really gave me the once over. He said that it could have damaged the theft control system, deployed the airbag, etc.......maybe he was just giving me grief, who knows? He's been known to do that.....
BUT--he has seen 1000 X the scenarios that I have.......when he tells me to do it, or watch for it, I do.
If you are just gonna disconnect one, make sure to tie it up with a ziptie, so its "memory" can't move it back over to the post when you are occupied, or using a breaking bar and a pipe, etc.....
Good to meet you and God bless,
Farmer
