Installing a Backrest for my 2009 S40:

Hey Everyone!  I'm going to pick up my backrest I ordered and wanted to install it yet tonight.  Does anyone know if it is quick and easy to install?  My girlfriend doesn't know I'm getting it for her, so I wanted to surprise her tonight for a late night ride.  Thanks for any tips!

No SH#$ haha, yeah everything came with it.  Now I know why it was as much as it was, those siderails are pretty heavy duty.

Anywho, I did install it last night and all is great! took me about an hour and some patience to get the tight bolts out from under the fender.  It's going to me a lot more comfortable riding together from now on.  Smiley

It took me a bit longer than an hour due to some unfortunate miscalculations on my part (like assuming I could figure out how to unhook the turn signal wires - DOH!) but it was a pretty easy job.  Except for those bolts under the fender  Wink  Weren't those fun to put back?  HA!

Haha, they surely are!  The screws holding the tail lights in were tighter than the siderail bolts!  Nearly stripped them coming out.  All is well though, and it made us both happy and more comfortable to ride.  Definitely a good investment!
