New Pics!!! She's gettin there!
06/14/11 at 15:17:52

Finally got her pieced back together today. I still want to add new foot pegs, new grips because I had bought some cheap ones, muffler and pipe wrap and then eventually a new paint job. I like the blue but I want the rest of the bike painted. I just built the battery box you see the other day. Still needs sanding and and painting but she'll do for just riding up and down the street.

Great job! Will you be adding a rear fender? I've been running mine without for a little while and I miss it!

If you want opinions, I'd ditch those front turn signals, but I love the rest of it.

You can't really tell from the picture because Ive got it painted black right now but it has a fender. I cut a really small one out of the original. I wanted the back tire to show as much as possible,

Hey,
Two questions: Where you gonna put the plate and did you put a washer/spacer behind the shock where the belt guard used to be? I ask, b/c it looks like you didn't and I didn't either. Just wondered if it matters.
Thanks.

I think the pics aren't doing my rear lights justice haha. I say that because they look really good in person, but it could just be my personal bias... I like em.

I haven't put the plat on yet it. It goes on the belt side on the rear axle. It's one of those curved plate holders (custom look). I just haven't gotten to it yet. For the washer I don't remember there being one so I guess the answer is no I didn't but it's not necessary to have it.

OHHHH Front signals!!! haha my bad. I think I may just put clear lenses on them because I like how they give it that wide look in the front. If I can find some better ones I may change them, but I'm gonna leave them for now. haha for some reason I kept reading rear sorry.

I just have one switch housing on the left side. It's actually from a Honda CBR but I ripped the kill switch out and bought two on off switches at autozone and fixed them into the housing and used the ignition switch as the horn. I think I took some pics ill post if i can find them.

The voltage regulator is under the seat on the fender. I drilled holes in the fender and just bolted it down.

I just connected the clutch kill switch together so you don't have to hold the clutch to start it. The kickstand kill switch has been gone since I put Ed L's forward controls on. I went through and just cleaned up all the wires. Rerouted everything, got rid of stuff thats useless (there's actually alot of it), and went to town with black electrical tape and black heat shrink wrap.

She aint getting there....she is there!!! I like it  a lot.

One question: Where did you find those clip-ons. I have been looking for a while but cant seem to find any for a reasonable price. Also, do they hit the tank in a full locking turn??

$89. I thought it was a fairly decent price. I really like them. Mine are 7/8" but I think they make 1" as well. As far as hitting the tank, I've had no problems. I can do a full turn and they wont touch.

Here's a close-up of the switch housing I came up with. I actually have hazard lights now as you can turn both blinkers on at the same time. Also the switches themselves light up when the blinker is on so I don't forget to turn it off.
