Oooo, I had a Honda Dream back in the 60's. Loved that bike!
Heh, I would like to get one of those little Honda 49cc scooters the "Honda Ruckus".

Just for kicks and to ride around town. Cheesy

I kinda like the looks of those too.  Too bad they don't make a 125 or 150, something that was mildly highway capable.  I'd like a scooter someday, but want one with enough oomph to hit 55 or so in a pinch.

Get a Suzuki Burgman 650 and you can hit 100 in a pinch  Grin  Minimum size for a scooter to do 55 would be a 250

Lifter -

One of the guys at the airport has a Ruckus.  He has over 6,000 miles on it - uses it to run around town, like to lunch, to the bank, etc.  Another guy just got another Honda scooter of some name, with 125cc, I think.  He says it'll easily hit 60 mph.

When I started riding again back in 2008, I first thought I wanted a Honda Silverwing, their big maxi scooter.  I still think they are neat, but just way too expensive for how little I ride.  I think they are around $10K.

The Burman is fast, but all in all, the Silverwing is the better scooter.  I was on the Burgman forum for a couple of years, and there was lots of chatter about belt squealing in certain model years that couldn't be remedied, and some other reliability problems.

I have a friend who just got rid of a Burgman for a Goldwing.

Yeah Jerry, I think the Rukus would be just fine at 49cc. I'll always have the S-fourty, but it's not practical or fun suiting up with ATGATT just to run two  or three miles at most around town running errands say, mailing a bill or picking up some screws at the hardware store.

Some of the gear always for this, but not ATGATT. I think I will start looking into this.

Rukus would be cool,.. but it's too hard to get to the engine, and the complexity of water-cooling turns me off...
I'd rather have the little z-50 monkeybike or a clone...
