thinking of a flyscreen

Does anyone currently use this on our little thumper? Does anyone have any pics? How is it for around town and occassional quick trips up on the freeway?
Any input would be welcome.
Thanks

Thanks! I went ahead and bought it. New, free shipping and a coupon code for 102.00
I mainly plan to use it to knock some of the wind off my chest. I'm pretty light (145lb) and when I get up to about 60-65 I can feel the pressure on my body.

yeah it's a little pricey but if it helps with fatigue when I take some rides up to our place in the mountains I think it's worth it.

The way I look at purchases these days is to figure out how many tanks of gas it costs to fill up my SUV...this purchase is equivalent to about 1 1/4 tanks in that gas hog...and that only gets me through about 2 weeks!!!

Got mine used for about $50

They're so adjustable that just about any model for any bike will do.
Mine was for a BMW and all I had to do was put in missing rubber padding on the clamps.  I used an old hand grip that I had cut off.

With a naked bike, I'm comfortable to about 50.  With the flyshield I'm comfortable till 70.  After that I gotta duck a little.   Cool

I also have the sportshield which I adjust so that my helmet is still in the airstream.  It's easily twice as big for the same effect.

Yeah I agree completely.  Up to 50 is great but at higher speeds the wind gets obnoxious.  I got a road shield on mine, (moderate size) and it is great around town and OK for the highway.   I love it and only wish I had gotten a BIGGER windshield.

Summertime I usually run naked.  If I'll be making a freeway trip I'll slip on the Flyscreen.  It takes the wind pressure off the body and allows sustained 70+ without fatique.  Goggles required.

Winter riding, and on tour, I mount the Street Shield.  This big boy (17") keeps the cold winter wind from running it's icy fingers down around my neck.  On tour, wind is deflected off the face, allowing riding with mere sunglasses in lieu of windproof goggles.  Mine adjusts to have the wind hitting just above the browline -- wind in the hair, not in the face.

A windshield is on my list of "someday" additions. I don't have one and cruising at speed gets a little wearing.Too bad they are so expensive. Undecided
