I'm not the expert here,.....their still sleeping, but I'd do the easy stuff first.
Open the carb drain,....to make sure the carb is getting full of fuel. If its not, start at the tank and go from there.
Then I'd check for spark,....plug out, wire connected, crank over.
Maybe its flooded,.....shut the fuel off, then dry it out, what ever it takes, etc etc. Check the plug for being flooded wet.
If flooded, I always hold a match to the spark plug hole till it goes PHOOOOOOOOFFF!!
But I am an oldtimer,....and don't know any better. So I ain't tellin you to do that !!
IMO, don't be too hasty about tearing stuff apart. Unless you know the carb well, be careful !
If it was running when it was parked, it more than likely will.....or should run now.
