cutting in and out while rideing
05/30/11 at 18:43:11

I have a 02 savage with the rear baffle removed. While rideing down the road it wants to cut in and out. I have tried adjusting the air fuel mixture screw but it seems not to help. Any solutions.

Check the connections to the ignition cut-offs...
Clutch,.. at the lever on the left bar...
Kickstand,... under the seat...

Also,... oil your kickstand,.. if it's getting stiff, it may not come full up, and trigger cut-off on bumps...

Unplug and replug connections... use contact cleaner or WD-40 if you got it... also, rubbing contacts with a pencil eraser works...

Wink...

Cutting in and out ?
Sorry, we need a much better definition than that to even seperate a fuel problem from an ignition problem.

For instance,.......
Is it like turning the key off and on ? = an ign problem

Is it more like a "surging" action ? = a fuel problem

Be as specific as possible when describing a problem.
