bobber build.
05/17/11 at 10:42:15

been doing it for about a month now, have all the pics but never really blogged it. thinking of adding the pics to show progress.

That is how it sits right now.

That is a weak photoshop mockup of how the paint/tan springer/heat wrap should look.

The only things Ive done to the bike so far:

Paint jug flat black/head gloss
Vegas Victory stock bars
Custom fender
Lowered 1.75" with hard tail chain struts

and what ive got planned:

2inch chrome risers
Tan springer seat
Cone air filter
exhaust heat wrap
bar end signal lights
small tail light

anyone got any suggestions/comments?

Lookin good!  That's not the stock headlight, is it?  Looks a bit longer, unless my eyes are failing me.  Do you know what it is?

My suggestion would be to ditch the stock muffler. Looking good though

I have black heat wrap and paint. also a short Indian muffler with supertrapp guts - all new, never used from an old build i gave up on last year. I think they would add a very special something to this bobber. Interrested?

Man that looks SICK with the WW on the rear! Nice job!! A set of white bicycle-style grips would set off those bars too! Cool

I like it!  I'd just hammer on a clear coat to seal the deal, and call it done.  But I like raw steel an' stuff.......

clean. Seen many people do way more work and end up with a finished product that doesnt look half as good. good job.

Thanks!

I like the steel look as well, but there is too many imperfections in all the steel to keep it like that, so Im going to powdercoat it satin black
