Renewed Registration
05/16/11 at 08:54:59
I just renewed the registration on the Flea Flicker for five years, and it was less than $100. That is less than $20 a year to register the bike. Now that is what I call a deal.

Yes that is a great deal.
Just another good reason
to be proud you own it.

Only allowed a max of 2yr registration here, and ours' always expire Dec 31. I have only been registering mine for 1yr at a time since it's not my primary source of transportation

I had no idea Arizona registration was so cheap. Here in Texas it's almost the same as a car ($50/year) to register a bike, and no discount for downtime.. buy an old bike that's been sitting under a tarp and you have to pay back-taxes on each year. Registration cost is one of the reasons I now only have one bike.

you mean you have to register bikes or other vehicles that have been in storage ? that sucks.

In Mass we have to renew our registations every year $20 by Dec 31 and have it inspected every year for $20. Then on top of that we have to pay an excise tax if it is registered, Im glad that it is only $5 tho.

I have never done that, and I have bought a LOT of set up bikes.

Interesting. Maybe it is a Travis county thing and I am just lucky
But yeah, the paper shufflers would get more money from me if they cut their rates a bit. I'll stick with the DR650 and bicycle for now.

Holy crap! I guess I have it fairly good here in NC - $13 annual inspection (car $31.50) within 90 days of annual license renewal $18 (car $28) - bare minimum liability insurance on the bike $104 /yr - then the tax bill will come after the car is inspected and tags renewed $20/yr so the bike costs me $155/yr just to keep it licensed/inspt/ins/tax.....I guess that might not be as bad as some other places.

My motorcycle insurance in Mass costs me over $700. As much as my car. I have comprehesive and collision on it because i have a loan on it and am considered a "new" driver because i havent had my license for 3 yrs yet. I cant even take the insurance off of it during the winter because of the loan.

my son was able to drop his insurance down some during the winter months - on his R6 with loan and such he has to have full coverage...another perk to having a paid for vehicle the insurance costs can be controlled a little bit.

$86 a year, full coverage, on a full custom. 24 years on two wheels doesn't net me any discount. Registration is going to be right at $100, need a new plate.
