Knowing Webster I'm guessing it was the highest figure he could find.

Fair's fair...  I'd have found the lowest...  Wink...

Grin Grin Grin...

He's gone riding, now lets have fun at his expense LOL. He accuses us of being out of touch with Americana, yet he comes up with statements like "have you priced a new BMW 1200?" How many average Americans and people on this forum care about the price of a BMW 1200? Who's out of touch  Grin

I've priced them, I have no intention of buying one though, bmw's are starting to become more appealing to me now. I don't quite know why though Undecided

Ok my last doctor visit cost $145, Medicare paid $66.81 my private insurance paid the balace.
This is why you should have a doctor BEFORE you go on medicare because most doctors hate to take medicare patients, simply because
medicare only pays about 60% of your bills.
My private insurance started out at $75 a month @ age 65 ,I am now 73 my monthly rate is now $239.96,it goes up every 6 months.
I have a drug plan included but only for generics, I have been perscribed non generic ,I just don't get them filled, I usually go back to my doctor and ask for samples. if he don't have any I do without.

I'm giving serious thought to the V-Strom 650. Light enough to throw around but big enough for 1000 mile trip. From everything I've read, it's as good performance wise as the BMW 650 model and about $5000 less plus you can do your own maintenance. Don't know for a fact, but have been told you can't even really replace your own brake pads. I've been a dirt rider all my life and like that style. I put my YZ250 bars with Barkbusters on my Savage, but didn't look like I wanted it to.

Webster the V Strom is a great bike. I know where there's one with almost 200,000 miles on the clock. Check out the Triumph Tiger also. I've owned three of the new generation Triumphs. Best built bikes I've ever owned.

Kick some good ole Muslim A$$ and America loves you. I wish he would finish off Kadaffi, Reagan should have. War is not the answer, war is for politicians and rich men. A well placed sniper bullet or missle up the a$$ of a murdering tyrant is the way to do it.

If I get another bike it will probably be a Bonneville. The Scrambler is tempting. Peter Egan (the famous writer for Cycle World) love his Scrambler.

That's definitely a beauty Mick, I know where you saw it at  Wink I use to trail ride with a guy that rode a Bultaco Metissa. The Spanish use to build some beautiful bikes, Bultaco's and Ossa's. They were great back in their day especially as trial's bikes. All of a sudden they just dissapeared off the radar. I guess the Japs did them in like they done the Brits.

People here in the States like the looks of old Harleys and Indians, they're OK but the late 50's thru 60's European bkes were rolling sculptures IMO. A mid 60's Bonnevile, Mick's beloved BSA Gold Star, Bultaco's, the 60's Ducatis, all of them had beautiful lines and were rolling works of art.
