help - caliper leaking!
05/06/11 at 11:54:56
Hello, new to here, had a savage about 3 weeks now, 2 days ago i replaced the brake pads with the guide on here, thought all was fine but i have now noticed there is a slow leak coming from inside the caliper - its dripping onto the disc so there very little braking power as the disc is now wet. The drip is about 2 drips overnight - very slight.
I took the caliper off and cleaned it all up then put it back on, all the connections are fine so it seems the leak is coming from behind the pads somewhere.
Anything i can do or does it need a new caliper??
Many thanks in advance
Silas

disassemble and inspect, could be just a bit of dirt or a bad seal
