So I just did one yesterday on the right side. Like mentioned the lever stuck. Took it apart again and noticed a bushing in the lever. So I tapped the bushing out and then lightly ground down the lever so when I put it back together the bushing acted as a spacer allowing me to snug down the mirror without pinching the lever. Works good. I will probably use the jb weld as mentioned to add some strength to the set up. I'm happy with this mod.
