Bobby Onelung - 1986 Savage.
Came with big backrest, ape hangers, broken parts, covered in oil, severe oil leak. Very rough, very dirty, very rusty.
I replaced the bars, fwd and rear signals, tail light, brake light, custom paint including controls and risers. I changed the clutch, fixed the cam chain tensioner, cleaned it several times, fixed the nasty oil leak (std plug/cap), & serviced the steer tube bearings. I removed the passenger pillion, relocated the reg/rect, and the chrome eyebrows which hold the backrest. Filled countless holes in the fenders, and then gave it a backyard spray bomb job, which in the end turned out very well. Finally I carved and ground the seat out the typical potatochip shape, made a pattern and sewed up a new cover, which far exceeded my expectations. Looks good and is surprisingly comfortable.
