Their design is iconic and I wonder if it's functional. do they sleep in the overhead?
I would base my design on the pop up trailer campers.
The living area is unoccupied when moving, so collapse it.
Lightweight aluminum/foam sandwich construction.
pull out work centers. take advantage of the ground below for standing room. Probably extend the swingarm by a foot.
