04/29/11 at 17:10:42

I got my bike put back together the other day only to have my starter go out on me today. but here is some quick pics of it i snapped at work. still got to do the seat this weekend and get my apes, then ill be happy  Grin I wanted something different so i went with chalkboard paint on the fenders and tank. Just something different to set it apart.

Its actually a shooping cart bottom. The bar that goes across the front is the part that clamps to the fork and you side bars are the rise up. If you all want me to take pics of how I did I can do a step by step guide

I can do a step by step guide

Step One, steal a grocery cart  risk a trip downtown & a mugshot & a writeup in the paper

Suzuki Savage owner steals shopping cart to use parts to mod his bike.

Ohh, yea,, we NEED some publicity like that,, uh huhh..  Shocked

Agree w/JOG not necessary...also aren't you worried about the rigidity of using that for your bars?

No thanks, I will pass.  Sad

Im a certified welder and have been welding for over 10 years  the welds are strong and apes are dangerous? Maybe I should throw the suicide shifter on there at the same time and see how that goes. Actually thats what im going to do!! And I didnt steal the shopping cart I went and asked. It was one that the basket was broken on it.
