Great pictures.  That plunger was almost all the way out, did you happen to measure it?  How many miles did it take to get that way?  I don't know how far out the new hole is but it looks like the chain must have enough slack so that the plunger is almost out of there before you can use that new hole.  Somewhere I think someone wrote that on new bikes the plunger protrudes 5mm to the shoulder, you're probably tighter than that now, hard to scale from a picture.  Wonder if the second hole could be a little closer.  Anyway in your case it was perfect, must feel good to get that done.  The Verslavy mod really makes the most of a chain.

Engineer, the stock plunger was out 19mm from the body to the shoulder. I figured I had about 2 more "clicks" on the thing before it went kerfluey...
I figured I had plenty of time but I sometimes ride hard and the bike had 2 PO's before me. I was actually kinda surprised at how far out it was considering it only had 11,000 miles.
I figure now I can go until it's starts rattling around in there and then when I buy a replacement cam chain I'll invest in a bore, piston and performance cam... Grin

Thanks for sharing the info.  I think I will plan on checking mine at some point before 10,000 miles.  The chart Verslagen1 provided the link for indicates new and old adjusters.  The ones marked new seemed to have less extension for the miles but the data is really all over the place, many variables.
