I have the straight bars. I haven't decided yet if I like them better really. I like how the Savage looks in bobber form - the drag bars definitely work well there. Buckhorns seem a little passe.

After swapping buckhorns out for 10'' apes, I won't go back...no vote from me

I have an LS650PY . . . the P for pullback bars and Y for 2000. Stock bars/pegs/saddle were quite acceptable. 570 miles in a day proved that. But it was not perfect. I sat on the bike, eyes closed, and reached for the bars. Then looked. The bars were about 4 inches low. So I also got 10" apes. Which I immediately trimmed 1.5" off each end to make them narrow. Hopefully will be on tour in June to really test them.

Hopefully the bike was parked when you did this
