2004 LS650 No sart

2004 LS650 with 1500 miles will not crank,  Installed a new battery, if I use a remote, the starter will turn over, I have tail/brake lights, no headlights, no  horn, fuses check good. The key on off switch checks good.  I had the decompression relay fail test and ordered a new one.  Is there any thing else is that i should be looking at?  If this relay is the culprit I will make sure to carry extras.

No headlight, no horn... sounds like the control connector is disconnected.

There are 2 connectors, one to each hand control on either side of the neck.  Try pulling it apart and pushing back together.  Or you need to clean the control buttons.

Check electrical connectors,... under seat, tank, and clutch lever on the handlebar...
Un-plug, spray WD-40, wipe clean, re-plug... unplug/replug a couple of times...

Thanks for help it was the connection under tank going to Lt controls on handlebar it got completly disconnected.  I was going to order a decomp soleoid relay becase mine fails the second part of test in Clymers manual. but nowthat its running and I can watch the operation. I will leave it be, I bought this bike last year with 600 miles on it, came with a bill where they had just done a 600 dollar tune up. I figured since I have tank off mind as well pull the plug the bike now has 1500 miles on it. When i put the extension and socket on it before I even put the Ratchet on it i noticed i could turn the extension by hand that's just what i nede be cruising and fire a hot plug into my tank

I believe the plug has a washer on it. If so tighten until finger tight then 1/4 - 1/2 turn more. If it doesn't turn very easy by hand cause of the threads or dirt or something then just use a rachet until you feel it get noticably tighter then 1/4 - 1/2 turn. I go 1/4 some go 1/2 either one is ok. Any more and you risk ruining the threads in the head. If no washer then go til tight just don't go cranking on it with a breaker bar or anything like that Tongue
