Exhaustive search.
03/06/11 at 07:39:06

After an "exhaustive" search on this site and the internet in general, I ordered the Raask drag pipe system. CAD$350+115 shipping direct from Raask. Not cheap like the Jardine (several comments about how it blues quickly), or ugly (IMHO) like the Supertrapp, and purpose made, unlike the Harley mufflers.

Don't know if it works for bikes but for the older corvettes with side pipes if you put axle grease on them they would not blue. Just run them with the grease on for a while then clean them off and no blueing ever.

I'm diggin' that Silver Tail setup, man.  I followed the link and saw some "tapered" ones that remind me a little of the old Triumph Pea-Shooters.  Kewl.

Maybe I'll try and get some actual specs for 'em.

Edit:  The official site locks up after the main page on me....

Yours looks a bit shorter than the one shown on the website. Also: where did you get the mudflap on the front?

Paladin, what did you do with the crankcase breather when you put on the K&N air filter?

That's greg_650's bike I think - what he did was put a small
breather/filter on the head breather hose and tuck it uphill
under the fuel tank so oil can run back into the head.
if I remember correct.
