My buddy in England had one of the older ones,it had a J.A.P. engine,
still a V twin but not as nice as the one shown.
We took a 40 mile trip in it /or on it,the drive chain came off twice after hitting bumps, it leaked oil like crazy ,and the one piece windshield was smothered in oil most of the time.
If the windshield was clean, you were low on oil.but for all that it was fun.

I think the one shown is quite modern just re-introduced ?
I just read the artical again ,the one shown is 2011.
If you are talking about the one my friend had, I have no idea what year it was probably a 1936 or 7 pretty close to that, and it was bright red and oily.

I love it!!

Those WWII markings, the old look, and the fact that is a motorcycle-derived thing make my mouth drool....

I wonder if it could ever get certified in the U.S.  Crashworthiness and bumper issues might prevent our seeing it on our roads.  Although it does have roll bars.

Also, I don't see any accommodation for any kind of top.  For that price, I would think it would have to have some sort of all weather protection - pretty pricey for a part time vehicle.

It's a sunny day car, than means in England you might get 50 days a year. Unless you don't mind getting wet, might as well ride.

Don't need no stinking "crashworthiness" or " bumpers.  It is legally a Motorcycle.  It is using the same S&S Harley clone V-Twin used by half the "chopper" manufacturers use in their motorcycles.

Also check the Ace Cycle Car Company in Seatle WA: http://cycle-car.com/index.htm

Also see many other Kits on various Morgan Three Wheeler clones -- at about a quarter of the cost, most use Moto Guzzi motors/transmissions.  (push it backwards!)
