What are you gonna do with the exhaust?

Another good question! So far all I've done is chop the muffler off. In the pics the pipe is on it just as is... aside from that I do believe I'll be heat wrapping the pipe but so far I have no plans.
Originally I wanted to make it much like the tip of a half stack on a truck with the flap cilnking at the end of the pipe but we'll see where I aim that thing and so on.
Ideas are great though, so, if you think of anything let me know! Tongue
If this makes no sense it's 'cause I'm a little drunk.

If I was doin the Rat thing, the Cherry Bomb would hafta go on it & I might just try to get a fishtail on it. Cut, Hammered & folded out of copper or whatever I could lay my hands on.

Here it is used on some Knucklehead and Panhead era Harleys.

The trouble with using the flex pipe is getting a good seal at the end.  I suppose a liberal application of some kind of modern high temperature sealant would help.

There's also some decorative sleeves that look similar and just slide over solid pipes. It's not cheap because it's aimed at the woohoo-I'mma-puttin-more-chrome-on-my-hawg crowd, whereas the stainless steel flex pipe above is aimed at the I-can't-afford-to-have-a-muffler-shop-replace-the-rusted-out-pipe-on-my-LeSabre crowd.

Most Rat builders are bona fide, card carrying members of the "Pork Hunt Club" ... and as such are true inovators blessed with a twisted and creative imagination!
LOVE that flex exhaust pipe!! Cool
