battery question
02/27/11 at 09:41:48

Thinking about ordering big crank battery for 2009 s40 - noticed the website lists it as good for 199?-2008 model years.  Anyone know whether this battery will work on an 09?

I just started mine today,4 1/2 months in garage started right up no battery tender and wasn't charged,Its just the standard battery. Check the water it was all way up,leaving a battery charger on over night at 2 amps.

You have a 4 1/2" garage?
And it started right up w/o charging... or did it?
Look like you can't get your story straight.

Thats nothin,....how bout this, mine's been setting a month or so w/ a tender on it, and I guarantee you it will start. The battery wasn't good over 2 yrs ago when I got it, and it ain't a bit better now, but tween the battery and the tender, it'll start. I mean, anybody can buy a new one ! Roll Eyes

Keep any battery fully charged as possible and they will last an amazingly long time.
The one in my boat is near 11 yrs old, and the 2 6v deep cycle in my RV are 7 yrs old, but all 3 of them live on a float charger when not being used. The AGMs are known to last longer and take more abuse than the LA kind.

Big Crank is a good battery. Had mine 3 years and never had to charge it until this year after it sat in temps of about 15* for months. 3 years worth of sitting all winter outside is no small accomplishment.
