Anyone with a Jardine....

I am new to the forum and just finished doing an introduction in the cafe section. Anyway, just wondering if anyone that has the Jardine slip on has experienced blueing and if you have found any product that effectively removes it? The blueing I have is mild but annoying none the less. Thank you for any help in advance.

Yeah, checked the jetting. Seems to be pretty spot on, I'm thinking the previous owner may have put the pipe on with out jetting initially.

I know the Supertrapp installation instructions say to Clean the thing REal Good or it will blue from the production oils & they wont warranty that.

There's a product called "Blue Job" that has worked for me. Follow the directions but be prepared to use LOTS of elbow grease...

yeah Blue Job works pretty good. Start your bike up and put your hand down where the jardine slips on and make sure there is no exhaust leaking out. The hot exhaust leaking out of that joint is what caused some of the bluing on mine. I had to get mine clamped down a little better.

Good call Bluesavage. I checked at the exhaust joint and there is a bit of a leak. I am going to attempt to tighten it down a bit this weekend. I've also heard good things about the blue job so I guess I'll try that out..... Is it available online or has anyone found a dealer that carries this?
