Benefit would reduction in weight and complexity.
Also, you'd be able to push start or rolling start anytime.
Unfortunately, combining the decomp lever with the start button creates a difficulty, you have to squeeze the decomp button before pressing the start button and release the decomp lever while holding the start button. Plus, unless you remove the clutch safety, you gotta hold the clutch in. So if all safeties are to remain in place, the best place for the decomp lever and start button is for a right handed operation. Most savages start w/o twisting the throttle so a frame mount would be acceptable. Squeeze the decomp lever with the index and middle finger, squeeze the start button with the ring finger, release the decomp lever, holding the start button till it starts.
