Justin without a driving wheel it would not move, Just like my Tank in the Army they are classified as a track laying vehicle's ,the track is driven by a sprocket (or drive wheel) the wheels just roll over the track,in other words it's making it's own road.
that being said ,to be able to turn a tank one must slow down one of the tracks, on the above machine I have no idea how the bloody thing turns.

BMW engeneering, I suspect they used the WW2 era skiing technique, the rider in the sidecar slimply plants a pole when they want to turn right. Being German engineers, they already had figured out what Brown (UPS) is just now telling us...that left hand turns waste fuel.
