Obviously not bike related but I was wondering if some of ya'll could help me out.

Does any one know what the stock jet sizes would be for a Holley 1850-2 carburetor? I bought a used carb from a pawn shop and was tearing it apart to rebuild when I noticed that who ever sold the carb to the pawn shop had taken the jets out.

As stated it is a Holley 1850-2 4bbl with vacuum secondaries. If anyone could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yonuh, I did a search on this and came up with the following information.
1850-2
cfm 600
front jets 66
rear jets 134-9 (meeting plates)
power valve 6.5

I don't know if this is the correct info just passing some along. You should be able to do the same search and check for yourself.
Take care, hugs,, kim Smiley

I did do a search before I posted this and kept getting widely different sizes. But thank you.

Well hopefully you can work on the carb where it is warm inside. Nice you were able to get them. Good luck with your project. Smiley kim

Thanks, rebuilding the carb can easily be done inside where it is warm, the cold part is when I go to install it on my van's engine. I already have it all cleaned up so I don't have to worry about carb cleaner fumes. All I got to do is put it back together.

What are you putting it on?

Holley carbs where all four holes are the same size won't normally replace a Q-jet without an adapter or aftermarket intake.

You may need a Spread-bore style if you are replacing a Q-jet.

HTH Cool

No problem, my intake is an Edelbrock Performer. Already test fitted it to the intake before I tore it down and it fits fine. Its going on a Chevy 305 V8 in an 83 Chevy G20 Van.

Got the Holley carb on the van and it fires up far better and seems to run stronger. Just need to make a few very small adjustments. Also need a completely different air cleaner assembly. The one I have is an aftermarket that the previous owner had put on, but it won't clear the float bowls of the Holley.

easy, figure out how much you need to raise it to clear.
cut a strip of metal, roll it into a circle to fit the top of the carb tightly, rivet it together and you got a profession carb aircleaner adapter.
made one for my brothers stock car.

Junk yard time!

IIRC, GM trucks with throttle body injection have a spacer under the air cleaner that should be  what you need. Already has the ends flanged, may need a little massaging to fit.  Smiley

I used one to make a 'cover' that smoothed the air flow into the carb in a class where I wasn't allowed to cut the choke tower off. Cool

Tech man never said a word, even though it defeated the idea behind their rule. Roll Eyes
