Sides... warm with a blowdryer, then catch an edge and gently pull... use gum-off or wd-40 to remove residual stickum'...

Tank... fugetaboutit,... they're under the clearcoat... if you do take them off, you'll need to reapply clear, or live with it...

Not the best news,... I know...

This helped me, just be aware that at the age of your bike, the paint has likely faded and may have an interesting contrast under the decals.  I don't know if it'll help with your tank tho.

My ride is a 2005 LS650, customized with ISO grips, cone air filter, stage 1 jets, Jardine exhaust, solo seat, AM turn sigs, and a catseye tail light. Next year, custom paint job (hopefully)!

The safety warning sticker on my 2007 was not under the clear coat, it came right off.

Bravo's right,... I forgot about the warning sticker...  It's not clearcoated, just the Savage emblem...

Tank side decals;

2004 and earlier LS650 models (Savage) ... under clear coat ... not so easy off Sad

2005 and later LS650 models (S40 Boulevard) ... raised, plastic chrome, embossed logo ... easily removed using a bit of dental floss carefully worked under to loosen adhesive ... use sawing motion back and forth to gently remove. Clean up left on residue with WD40 as suggested.
