I think my battery is dead and is in need of a recharge. I got the schumacher 1.5amp speedcharge and it came with terminal ring connectors. Is it necessary to completely remove and disconnect the battery when charging? Or can I just permanently install the ring connectors to the terminals and hide the wire somewhere underneath the tank so I can just charge it with the positive and negative terminal leads still connected and wired to the bike and battery? Is it safe to keep it all connected or do I have to completely remove the battery from the bike. (Keep in mind that I don't have a garage to store my bike. I live on the second floor now, but will be moving next month. But when I move, I'm just gonna roll my bike into the living room for storage
. I won't let it run inside of course)
Also, is there a way to clean the battery so that I can see the level of electrolyte fluid between the two marks on the battery case? When I go to check it thru the window, its so scuffed up that I can't tell where the fluid is at.
