I watched a bit of that video......but as much fun as it looks.....I just tended to get angry at those boys.  They are the kind of fools that give motorcycle riders a bad reputation.  I really get offended by anyone that treats me as an obstacle on the road....instead of treating me as an equal.

Dave, there were several "serious crotch rocket" guys on that video who shared your opinion.   One was really pissed that he was getting treated like a speed bump and he REALLY didn't like it when the guy carrying the camera wheelied on past him too ....

Supermotos are upper end top speed limited compared to these other bikes -- if there had been any decent amount of straight away on that road the story would have been quite different.

Also, did you note all the big black streaks of rubber those motos were putting down as they braked into a turn?   That amount of black rub off laydown might equal a new tire a week if they run like that all the time.

Theoretically Speaking .......

There are spring rides
.....  weather is warming up finally but the jackets & gloves still get used.

There are midsummer rides .....  HOT is the reality word here.  Sweat and ride, sweat and ride.

There are fall rides ......  leaves and acorns and kamakazi chipmunks & squirrels & possums

Which sort of ride shall next year's main ride be?

(hint, if you do a spring ride -- you still have enough riding year left to recover and go on a fall ride too, plus a different set of people are interested in a leaf season ride than a late spring ride)

Here is the long term weather patterns again -- we is looking for some better weather again, Goldilocks
(not too hot, not too cold, jest right).

May something is the earliest for decent temperatures (still cool, but not THAT cold) with June getting warm to hot again.

Some of the group is still working, enough days off to "go long" and come back may not be in the cards for some of us.

Some of us truck in -- what do you do with the vehicles?

Still, I have never seen New Orleans or the Gulf side of Florida .....

I have said one of my "bucket list" items is to traverse Route 66 from Chicago to LA.  I'm not retired but I am a State employee with a reasonable amount of leave time.

Oh well, fall trip 2012 never pulled itself together so we are about done trip-wise for 2012.

I'll post a blank sticky for Dragon Run 2013 and we will see what year 2013 brings (assuming the Aztecs weren't right and there is a 2013 that is).

Speaking of bucket lists, what should you do before the end of the world comes this holiday season?
