I installed the new Pirelli Route 66 front tire today to match the nearly new rear one. Oil and filter change tomorrow and pack the bags and I'm ready to ride!!!!!!!
MMRanch, PM me if you can, mine are not getting out. I need to know if you will be staying at my house Sunday night so we can ride down to the Dragon together?

I am very carefully reviewing my week's worth of stuff, leaving off everything that won't ride on the bike while staying out of the way of my swinging a leg over the seat.

Leaving the movie camera at home, still bringing the telephoto lens still camera.

No wifi up there at Dragon Lodge, no laptop needed.

Note: if we were staying at the new place over the burbling brook, we'd have wifi available at the lounge and gameroom area.

I'm gonna call these guys and talk them into putting in a pool table.

I've got one (1) day trip planed out to Helen,GA. (160+- miles) round trip with lots of little squilley lines in it Shocked

! (4 to 5 hours driving time) Should give us a little walking around time befor the turn-a-round (not same way back).

I'd like to do one to Mt.Mitchell if ya'll are game for it !!!

Its CooL in more ways than One ! Roll Eyes

Looks like I'll be there Monday afternoon.

I adjusted my valves last night - they make a bit less noise now.

The next few days I am working on my trailer.....trying to shoehorn 2 bikes in an enclosed trailer that is onlly 45 inches wide! It is going to be a tight fit. I sold my Kawasaki Super Sherpa to a woman that lives in Ashville, and she is coming over on Wednesday afternoon to pick it up. I am planning on arriving about 2:00 and she is meeting me at 3:30. That gives me 1-1/2 hours to try and wiggle her bike out of the trailer!

Fellow Dragon killers,
I got a ride spotted called "Joe Brown Loop" 151 miles 4hrs. it starts on 129 @ Robbinsville, runs on hwys. 143, 165, 68, 123/294, to Murphy NC, 129 back to Robbinsville. Looks twisty!

2nd ride, "Great Smoky Mountains loop" 141 miles 5hrs. 129 to Topton 19 to Bryson City NC, Cherokee NC, 441 across Smokey Mnt. Nat. Park towards Gatlinburg, Little River Rd.73 to Townsend, foothills parkway to North end of Dragon.

If yall want to go back to Hot Springs NC and Dogget Mtn. like I took Oldfeller and MMRanch I know some great back roads to get there too.

I've got two;

One : Hwy 28 South to Highlands , 106 over toward Dillard ,Ga. ,441 up to Blossomtown and Aquone , topton and back to the civilized world. (154 miles) of twisties and such. Shocked

Two (159 miles) Down to Helen Ga. 19/74 and 17/75 down then 348 , 129 , 76/2 , 66 , and 141 back . Young Harris,Blairsville,Brasstown,Peachtree,Marble. Should make for a relaxing day.
