Kel

Sorry about that !

I'd be just as good in a tent, but  that brother makes his living with his back , (and a lot of know-how)  ,  I'd have to deal with sister-in-law if he's not working .

Cool

Kel, for just a few more buck per night you can have one of those big comfy beds as well as a tv, shower, fridge, coffee, and air conditioner.

Kel and BigZuk

I just had an Idea !!!

I'll find out what days I'll need a room , and spend the rest in the camping zone .... unless it compacates things too much with the other room mates.

The sound of the brook running all night , and the peace of the campground  was kinda like living on a "No Outlet Road", I like it.

Cool

Hey, ya'll!  Just checked in about the Dragon run.  I'm putting the dates on my calendar.  I would plan to arrive on Wednesday afternoon and spend four nights, departing Sunday morning.  If I camp it's $12 a night.  But if I could get a roof, a bed, and a shower for around $20 each night, I'd probably opt for that.  Hope to see a bunch of ya'll at Deals Gap!

First apartment is tentatively full now

Second Apartment is now filling       (might as well plan big, it might save a buck or two)

(empty upper bunk)

Serenity, if you guys can fill your apartment then a full apartment will cost like $25 a night, a 3 person room will cost $28  (and that is 2010 prices and it doesn't include them nicky little room taxes and fees that hotels always charge you, but they did not go up from 2009 prices last year so mebbe they won't go up again this year).

I just got done watching this video, dreaming of a time in the future when all this snow is gonna melt. I can still remember this ride like it was yesterday. I just wish I had the video camera running on the way back when we came up on the momma and baby bear crossing the road. Anyway, here's the video I took following kel on the dragon.

Great video, Al. Thanks for sharing! Kel is pretty smooooth.
Can't wait to get back over there and have a go at it on the Savage.
I was thinking about what was comparable in New Hampshire to the Dragon. Hurricane Mtn. Road from Conway over to Chatham and 113 up Evan's Notch to Gilead are the closest in my memory. Of course the Kankamaugus is similar to the Cherohala. That area was my backyard for five years. Plenty 'o fun!
Of course I'm sure digging my new neighborhood here in NC.  Cool

Thanks Driller, Kel was taking it easy that day. i remember the previous year he was hauling azz. Hurricane Mtn. rd.  is very cool but I don't think it compares to the dragon very well. And although the scenery on the Kankamaugus is great, it usually has way too much traffic to really enjoy it. But I run all those roads every summer. Alot of good riding in Maine too.

I'm somewhat new around these parts and don't know anyone, but it sounds like one heck of a good time. Me and the wifey need a vacation so we'll be taking up one of those camping spots. Anyone know if there's any good fishing spots nearby?

Camping spots are easy,  just pick the space you want and set it on up.   They come by once a day to remind you to go pay for the day,  that's about all the organization that comes into camping.

What is your wife riding, or is she going to ride with you?
