Well, I was kinda hoping for a rematch on the trip the week following, but rain is being predicted for Monday & Tuesday already.

Aw shucks -- no motorcycle trip during the available time span for me this year.

Plus -- and you will like this one -- them fine admin/managers at work scheduled me for 3 days of work right in the middle of the week that I had asked off on -- swore it was an accident of course.

They are either 1) very loosely wired or 2) think everybody is stupid and will have to kiss their pinky ring repeatedly to get their vacation days.

I personally understand what drives them -- they have a workforce that lays out continuously for any excuse at all and they must have a body on campus at all times.  They have a few people that show up for work consistently, so they automatically fill critical slots with people they can rely on.   The schedule crosses 2-3 different hands and not all of them have the vacation schedule (why, I do not know).

They also know that motorcycle trips are well known for falling through for bad weather (about 4 people in the department ride, so they have experience with bike trips to the mountains).

I still have the Savage. Its for sale but I havent really advertised it. Jennifer will never ride again. This her second back and neck surgery. I'm gonna keep the little Ninja. I love that little bike.This year has been a washout. The Lupus is worse and now the doctors are experimenting. I stay sick a lot, dont know if its the doctors or the disease. Jennifer is being operated on right now. They moved her operation up a week. I'll have to stay housebound and take care of Jen a few weeks. She cant drive for 6 weeks. Grandbaby is due next week. Got a contractor out here working on the house. When it rains it pours is the understatement of the year as far as my life is concerned right now. Hopefully by the middle or end of Sept my dull boring life will get back on track LOL.

it on her belly, lay it beside her.. As long as she is able
to touch and have it close that will be sufficent.
At least when their newborns their not as squirmy
as they are when a few weeks or months old..
