I just got home (5 hour ride Dragon to House)

OldFeller   there was some guy saw on the Dragon calander that we would be there.   Well  he was looking for the "Short White Guy on the Grandmaw's bike"   he also had one of those water-cooled Harleys !  The good part was he couldn't remember what color you bike was (did remember it was "LIGHT" colored.    Not sure what he had in mind ?  

The first trip there was a two state trooper (one bike , one  car. ) the car showed up behind us on the northend then followed allmost to the gas station on the north end , like he was daring us to do 42 in the 40 on the long stretch at the bottom.  We made perty good time after we passed them and by time that trooper cought up with us (and maby the only reason)  we had come up behind some full-dresser types , and they were riding 1 mph under  the limit.  So I for one said "Thank Goodness for Baggers".

Al took some vidio. and I'll fill in more detail later , its late and I haven't seen my wife since Tuesday so you know what I'm up too !!!!  

Sounds like one of our past customers did him a Hurley "upgrade" and wuz lookin' him a rematch .....

A Vrod would do a Savage right smartly in any kind of straight section, but there aren't very many straight sections up at the Dragon.

Most likely he'd turn loose those them hundred plus Vrod HP and exit right off the side of the mountain (taking me with him with my luck).

Serenity

We finally found the rain ,  Saturday we did ("The Full Day of Twisitys") ride.  Well the rain allmost cought us at the south/west corrner of the ride , somewhere around Cashiers.   We took 64 over to 276 north , it was twistieeee.   There was a slew of trafffic going south on 276.  It was allmost like we had missed the party and were meeting the folks going home.   Come to find out 276 is the  road comming off the souther end of the parkway.  Once we passed the parkway the other side was a bumppy rollercoaster.    There is a motorcycle only campground on the north side, that where I meet Lancer and OldFeller for the second ride last year.    

My ride to town is leaving  ,  got to go.

Well, I made it home at 7PM Saturday, just following my nose and heading away from the sun.  The week was great fun, really just 6 of us members and a couple of crashers: MMRanch's brother Kent, and Bigzuk's galpal Becky.  My little bike is just purring along even after 1500 miles for the week.  

All you girls and boys who are "dragon-curious", make plans to come next year.  Or there is shaping up to be some kind of gathering later this year, though sounds like somewhere besides the Dragon.  It's really great to put names with faces and shoot the sh!t with new and old friends.  I highly recommend the therapeutic benefit of Savage Week at Deals Gap!
