Right now I'm planning on the full week in my tent.
Yamakid won't be with me this year. He has his bike for sale. As I still have many more $ in it than he has, I may keep it myself.

Okay it looks like I'll be rolling in on Wed. and will require a nice soft comfy bed. I'll be bringing the savage. It might be a bobber by then but we'll see what I can get done before the trip. I think most of my spare time will be spent riding as soon as the weather gets better. We got 10" of wet heavy snow yesterday and it looks like I won't have any power at my house until at least tuesday. A power pole came down and wrecked my deck. It just missed the gas grill. If it had fallen in the opposite direction, my new C50 would have been crushed. And I haven't had a chance to get insurance on it yet.

Anyway, I'll be there on Wed.

Well, here is hoping that all goes well and you get here for some riding and that my back is fully functional as well.
One thing for sure is that I DO NOT WANT TO TRY THIS TRICK AGAIN ....EVER !
A broken back hurts and takes a long time to heal.

Just finished talking to Rocket Phil...he won't be coming.  Seems he has a new girlfriend and wants to spend time/money with her....go figure.

I however will be there on Wednesday.

How do ya think this will work out .... if we switch to an appartment for the weekend  will we have plenty ?

Should I just call and make sure they keep a room for at least two open for Friday and Sat. ?

So who all is staying friday and saturday night ?    We better call it in soon !

Durned if I know how this is all gonna work out -- my bosses have finally realized that too many people are asking off at the same time and have come up with their "solution" -- a sign up calender that will be given to each person in order of seniority so they can pick from the available spaces and sign up for all the vacation they plan to take for the rest of the year.  

According to them, only one person can be off at a time as we are short on manning right now.

Looks like it will be at least a week before I even get to see the stupid calendar and since the week in question was what caused the calender come to being I bet I don't get that time span off.

There is one bypass method, which is to pay someone to work your assigned days and shifts and that is expensive and you have to find somebody that works there who is willing to do it.



We have never seen the Gap Lodge filled up during the week so that is a good thing.  Somebody will take an early room and that can hold 3.  Weekends get tighter and the apartments are generally booked in advance for the weekends, so I would base your plans on a single room as soon as the first roomers show up, with additional rooms added on if needed.

Right now you don't have enough rooming people yet to fill up a weekend apartment, not until Lancer and Verslagen declare their final plans anyway.  Certainly you don't want to commit to one for the weekdays as you have a scatter shot arrival pattern so far.

(and you can lose your ass on an apartment if it isn't filled up pretty much)

And to all them fine folks who stiffed MMRanch last year on that last mountain trip, saying they were coming repeatedly and then simply not showing up, well there is a special hot tub in perdition for folks like you, filled up to the lip with boiling tar ....
