you might get some fenders on the marketplace ?    If ya ever got bumped off that seat with the bike in motion it could ruin your "Family-Plans"  Wink

How do the shocks work at that angle ... ?   I suspect they are not factory shocks  ?

Hay !   Tractor Supply has those little fenders made for "self-built-trailers" ? Huh

the shocks are still stock , i know i will have to increase the spring rate and dampening for me , but i bought it to teach my wife to ride and she is very short and light , have only run it around the parking lot at work to find i was blowing oil everywhere , have the engine apart now waiting on parts , i wil make a determination on the shocks once i have ridden more on the road to see if i bottom them out or not.

Got it on the road just in time for spring. It's been a fun first bike and build!

My '06 I've had for 6 years.  It has 28,548 miles on it of which I've put about 8,000 of those miles. Over those years, I've installed the raptor petcock, did my own tensioner mod (@25,500 miles), A seat lift of about 1 1/4 ",   de-snorkeled the airbox, installed a K&N drop-in filter, and drilled six 3/8 holes along the back edge on each side of the air box.  On the exhaust side, I've drilled 4  7/16 holes in the back plate of the muffler. I ported the exhaust side of the head removing most of the restriction. I was concerend about removing all the material all the way out to the exhaust gasket as I believe that the restriction does have a purpose combating  a reversion pulse as the exhaust gas exits the port and hits the restriction in the head pipe. I also tried to smooth that transition into the head pipe as best I could without burning through the inner pipe  Shocked  Prob. wasted effort but... . For the carb, I'm running a 55 pilot, the spacer mod @ about 40% of stock spacer and a 155 main. Idle screw is out about 3/4 turn. From the photo you can see that I've flipped the risers around to accomodate my long arms. Installed a Corbin seat, Progressive 412 shocks, and BikeMaster oval mirrors. The battery box and upper belt guard are plasti-dipped flat black.(lower guard is removed).  [edit]: I also have a Trail Tech digital Tach/Hour meter mounted on the handlebars between the risers. I just adjusted the spacers in the front forks to get a proper sag height. Loaded sag height was almost 50% of travel. Now closer to 30%. Much better but probably due for some new springs!  Next up may be a stage 3 cam and a custom header pipe.   Smiley

That is super sweet, could be the nicest job I've seen wonderfully minimal. If you don't mind me saying so I think it's crying for some...
https://www.amazon.com/010129-Titanium-Exhaust-Heat-Technology/dp/B002R4U7G4 had mine on for a year and it's as shiny as the day I put it on.

I have to reupload your photo the right way around because it deserves it ;¬)

I need to do something with the exhaust, im just not sure what yet. Its pretty close to my battery so I may have to fab up a heat shield. Im not a big fan of the wrap though but I may try it. Maybe ill change my mind when I see it on the bike.

I appreciate the kind words, but its still a work in progress.
