This was taken January 2014, my first day with the bike. I'm not as evil as I look in the picture, It was just a big smile from being back on a bike.

My 1st bike back around '79. My daughter & me. She didn't ride back there till her feet could reach the pedals. At that age, it was real short rides sitting on the seat in front of me with her arms wrapped over mine.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

No, it was a 1972 Yamaha DS7. A two stroke twin which was so much fun when I could get it started.

I bought this one last year because it was the closest I could get to the old DS7. It's a 2015 SR400 with wire wheels, kick start, and chain drive. It's a  four stroke with fuel injection so it always starts. Most times on first kick.

Ah, ok. I thought it looked a little familiar. I grew up riding a '76(?) GT250 with my dad.

Thank you. It might end up as one of those barn finds. Well taken care of but hardly any miles. I love riding it but don't want to ruin the looks of it with saddle bags. The S40 gets over twice as many miles per year because I can carry things with it. Plus, the S40 handles interstates a lot better. I'll never get rid of either one.

New member here although I thought I was a member back in the late '90s and 2000's before I sold my Savage.
Anyway I've riding since 1970 and have had just about every kind of bike.
I sold my '87 Savage in 2005 and now I'm looking for another.

Here are a few pics of my 87...

Interior? I'm picturing a '70's, mural on the side, shag carpet kind of thing!  Cheesy
