This is my girl - I named her Gnatcatcher. I purchased her as a non-running project and was able to get her going using this site for reference and even purchased a rejet kit from a member here. Super thankful for this resource Smiley

Next on the to-do list:
- exhaust swap
- finish tank and fender bibs
- finish reupholstering a Vstar 650 single seat in tan leather to swap out

So far...  Replaced the rain funnel with a straight through glasspacked (Emgo?) muffler. I put several more good sized holes in the airbox--- it had a newer K&N air filter. Ended up With #50 idle jet, screw set at a little more than 1.5 turns. Did the white washer at 50%, and currently have the main at #155. Starts easily,  noticeable but not LOUD loud. Hardly any popping , some grumbling in exhaust on fast roll off. Seems to have really good torque! (I usually just ride around close to home for the first hundred miles or so, in case I need help. I haven't.) I put some low rise drag bars on, and added some orange popsicle paint. The front brake is mushy; I'll bleed and refill it, but I'm waiting for a new Galfer braided steel brake line. I did the Verschlagen cam chain mod, replaced the missing right side engine cover gasket and the gearshift shaft seal. The oil seems to be staying inside now. Overall, I'm lovin' it!

Outfitted for commuting. Airbox, jetting and exhaust mods added a little punch.

Looks like you added rear view mirror extenders?  If so, where did you get them?  Thank you!

No mirror extenders on my commuter. Maybe previous owner procured those mirrors. Sorry.

Just finished up the build on this bike.  2006 with less than 1500 miles that I bought over a year ago.  Blue Collar Bobbers kit.  I like the way it turned out, and I try to ride every chance that I get.
