Just a quick question, is it necessary to drill holes in the bar to mount the housings?

I took a file to the little locator pin on the housing because I figured it would be easier than drilling a hole in the bars plus this way I can move the housings around if need be or swap bars again without having to re-drill every time.

Nice, thats what I was thinking about doing.  Just didn't know if the housings would slide or not.

If it moves around on you, wrap a piece of duct tape around the bar and reinstall the switch housings.

I ran into this problem when I put on 10'' ape hangers 2 weeks ago.  A dremel can take those off in a hurry  Wink  Then tighten down good.

By the way, 10'' rise is the most the stock clutch cable will go without replacing.

There's usually a nub inside the control pods that fits into a small hole in the bar to keep the control pods from spinning on the bar.
