od, Don't really know about paint code, but figure it's maybe in the frame number. Anyhoo, your local body shop can set you up to meet the travelling paint salesman. Here in my town  the body shops order PPG from a guy with a paint matching thingy like the big home improvement stores. He zaps it with a death ray and orders your paint to match. Might give it a try. Plus you could Google your bike by year and get a name for that color. Didn't they only have black. white, and something else each year.?
