Kinda wondering what horn most folks are useing on their savage. Ive seen talk on a couple of other sites about the Stebel Nautilus.
Tried a couple of reg car horns but their no louder then the stock hooter.

My stock horn is louder than my hubby's C90 stock horn.  Stock is plenty loud enough for me.

When I finally get around to swapping, I plan on a trip to the junk yard. Seems a horn off an older, big car would be louder than Suzuki's idea of what a horn should sound like.

Yamaha R1 horns are pretty loud. Sometimes you can make adjustments to the horn and it will be a lot louder as well.

Autozone has bolt on replacements.
BH101HC and BH101LC
High Tone and Low Tone.
I believe each of those has two variations, with the horn output coming out different sides.  Make sure you get one points the horn forward when you mount it.

Mine are "Highway Blasters", claimed to be 136db, pair through a relay:

They are considerably louder than stock.  Have been used once, a lady was exiting a driveway, about 100-150 feet, heard me.

Tried those at autozone, their no louder. Nice air horn was to big to mount. Not sure the stebel will be small enough to mount on our bitty bikes either. Stock horn leaves something to be desired in an emergency situation.
Have to check out them highway blasters.

I read over on Intruder Alert, that you can get a lot more volume out of any horn, even stock, by using a horn relay which sends the current directly from the battery to the horn.  I'm planning on trying it but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I wired up my horn relay today.  It makes a big difference,  I have two auto horns on it and I was a bit disappointed in the volume using the stock switch.  Now the switch just closes a relay that sends 12 volts directly from the battery through the horns.  It sounds like a Buick.

A horn that honks rather than beeps gets a lot more attention. I have twin Fiamm Freeway Blasters on my ZRX. It get's the attention of bozos.
