I drilled and bolted mine to the OE stubs minus the rubbers, then used electric motor potting material to stabilize them. Have worked fine for years and miles. They tip u just fine for me, about 15 degrees. Max

I'm not familiar with motor potting. Anything like JB Weld?

Another idea I wouldn't have come up with, building up a wedge shape with something like the JB product directly on the floorboards. I'm beginning to think that my retirement age birthday coming up is starting to slow my creativity thought processes.

Oh well, something else to experiment on. Could be a busy winter after all.

he said, take the stock pegs...
take the rubber off them...
stick 'em in the holes of the floorboards...
if they wobble...
fill up the space in the holes between the peg mounts with...
jb weld should work.

The wobble and slight tilt to the front is not an issue for me. I have 4k on mine and never even notice it. However, I was always aware of the right peg for some reason.  Smiley

Due to the forward slant on the boards I often end up with the arch of my foot riding on the back edge of the thing. That and I then find I'm often moving my feet around to different positions. All good for keeping the circulation flowing in my feet and legs. It's been better than pegs but not the perfect solution. Yet.

Just wish cycle stuff wasn't so expensive. Can't afford to experiment anymore. Now, if I could weld . . . .

Ok, that does it,... this winter I'll custom make a pair of floorboards that will FIT ! Mite even make 2 of them, see how they mite sell. If the angle is made correct, I don't see that they have to be adjustable, but could be.
They would be framed out of mild steel, powder coated, w/ aluminum diamond plate inserts.
Only trouble is, they ain't going to be no $39 !
$39 is hard to beat for price, but what good is price if you have to overhaul them before you can even install them Undecided
I'll put that in the book of "winter projects"

If you are looking for winter projects, how about a fork brace?   Wink

I tried to make a fork brace when we talked about it, but I ran into a snag first thing when I went to get material,....couldn't get the right sizes that wouldn't cause more work, and more waste.
But that may still be in the winter project book. Smiley

Just get a 2x6 board and bolt it to the bottom of the frame.
Get it long enough and it can double as a kickstand.   Grin

Would it be better on 1/2" oak, and use hinges so you not scrap in the leans?
Do not joke around here -- some people will try anything.

Has anyone tried these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kuryakyn-Premium-Floorboards-4351-Harley-Model...

They look like they have enough types of adjustment that they could be adapted to use on the Savage.

The are still a little pricey,  but less than some of the others
