Belt guard help
10/11/10 at 12:21:06

Hey guys, I've been trying to remove the belt guard and it's been a freakin pain! The screws wouldn't budge so they got stripped to nuts, that's no problem cuz I just grinded them loose, I got the lower part off but I'm baffled by the upper one. I found a good post that gave a good tip on it not being actually bolted to the swing arm but just "clipped" on there. So all you need to do is loosen that bolt, problem is there's not much space to work with! Can anyone give tips on how they did it and what tools are the best way, please!

Try removing the lower shock mount, then you should have plenty of room to get at that bolt.   Huh

2 10mm bolts up front under the pulley cover
1 10mm in the middle behind the cover.
