I got it in yesterday, thanks, will try and put it on today.

I read thru the wiki article.  it fails to mention that our local air museum has not only a replica, but the Mitsubishi version too.  Plus a Horten glider, a natter and more.

Wow, that's some good planes there!  Would love to see a Natter!  The Komet I visit, or try to at least once a year, is at the Nation Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, OH.  They also have a nice 262 there.  You got me wondering how many Mitsubishi versions were made...

Not to many, I think the converted the rocket to run on saki and the fuel kept evaporating over night.   Grin

And I'd like to see the 262

I think they would've been safer if the fuel did evaporate!   Smiley

Is it the Planes of Fame that has the flyable Zero with the original engine?

Although there are about ten complete World War Two Japanese Mitsubishi Zero fighters still intact around the world, two of them airworthy, the Planes of Fame Air Museum at Chino Airport in Southern California boasts that Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero No 61-120 in its collection is the only fully authentic flyable example in the world. Restored to flying condition in June 1978, this Zero fighter is still powered by its original Nakajima Sakae 31 engine, a 14-cylinder radial that produces 1,200 h.p. Except for the absence of armament and a few minor equipment changes, this aircraft is essentially the same as it was when operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy during the war; it even carries the same colour scheme (right down to the precise shade of green camouflage which varied in tone from factory to factory in Japan) and markings that it bore in combat.

I'm sure they had to add wing tip lights.

You can, but I don't think it's needed.  I've had a decal on my car for the past year or so, and it still looks new.

Now I have seen people that will, say,  paint a tank, put the decal on, then put 4 or 5 coats of clear on the whole thing to where you can no longer feel the decal.
