If the inside is anything like the outside, you probably committed a crime. Robbery comes to mind. Hope she loves it, and it does well for you. My '01 just turned 13,400 as I rode home today. To save you a question later, just remember to fill it up every 100 miles. Mine's due for a refill at 490. I just memorize the nearest full number when I gas up. 2.6 gal or 2.8 gal tank? 50-60 mpg. NGK plug DPR7EA-9 or DPR8EA-9 (Cooler) 10w40 motorcycle oil or Rotella T 15w40. BIG disagreement on this, but we are all still riding with few oil related failures. Buy a Clymer's manual. $25 manual versus $55/hr shop charge. Have fun.

Welcome to Savage life. I really like the flames on the tank and it looks pretty clean to me! Looks like you got a great deal.
Get the wife to get her own id here... I've been around a little over a year, and need all the help I can get keeping these fellas in line! haha
And Vers -- I'm glad I'M not one of those wimin!!

Great deal and cool paintjob! I think the best way to protect your investment is to get a good price up front....
I bought this one pretty reasonable and spiffed it up some for my son who was a new rider at the time. Now I'm thinking of puttin him on my sportster and getting myself a bigger HD, but I'm not sure we'll sell the Savage...
